Youth Protection Training
Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers and is a joining requirement.
Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer’s Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be re-registered.

REGISTRATION
If you do not have a Scouts BSA account, you may register for one free of charge without having to register with a Scouting unit.
Go to https://my.scouting.org/
Click on CREATE ACCOUNT.
Complete the text fields.
Use your APO zip code.
Select No for 'Are you outside the US?'.
Select NEXT.
Complete the CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT section.
Add two security questions.
Select the method to login to your my.Scouting account. You may choose between BSA Credentials and Apple or Google login ID to login to Scoutbook. If you select BSA Credentials, you will then specify a username and password.
As soon as you submit that information, you will be directed to https://my.scouting.org/get-involved where you will find a link to the Training page.
ACCESSING YPT
Once you are registered with Scouts BSA, use your credentials to log into the My.Scouting.org portal: https://my.scouting.org/
From there, click Menu.
Select My Dashboard from the menu list.
The My Training page displays My Youth Protection Training.
Click on Take Course.
Once completed, you will find the course completion certificate in your My. Scouting account within 24 hours. You will also receive your certificate via email.
